Triumph Bonneville America 800 IRS trike
Blue, Kliktronic, Disability adapted – single arm
Blue, Kliktronic, Disability adapted – single arm
The trike has been adapted for a rider who is a left arm amputee.
We have adapted the trike so that it has a Foot Clutch and Kliktronic gear shifter. To enable the rider to remain behind the handlebars, we have converted his Bonneville America by moving the clutch to the left foot and relocating the essential switchgear from the left to the right side. Other features include a stainless steel bracket for the Kliktronic gear shift, a polished rear rack for the Givi top box and bespoke Givi pannier carriers.
Casarva IRS (independent Rear Suspension) trikes handle better and and are more comfortable to ride than those with a solid axles. The tyres stay planted in the road surface giving you maximum control if the road gets a little tricky because each side has its own suspension system which are connected by an anti-roll bar made in spring steel. This assists the shock absorbers in keeping the rear end planted, reduces rider shock and assists with steering.
The drive line irrespective of being shaft, belt or chain, has a differential which allows the wheels to turn independently of each other via half shafts which have been tailor made to each trike and there are options on the track width and wheelbase length to make sure that the trike is set up to be the best it can be. Tyres and wheel size are selected to works best with each trike – one size definitively does not fit all not fit all.
We are recognised experts in motorcycle to trike conversions with many years of experience. Please contact us if you want to no more, there is no obligation we want people to make informed decisions when they are thinking about a trike wherever they get it from.
