Casarva Yamaha XVS1300 Midnight Star

is a chain drive (from belt) conversion, powder coated in Matt Black to match the Yamaha. It features Polished Stainless Steel Parallel Strapped Bull bars with LED stop tail lamps and a large rack in polished stainless steel. (We have also fitted a huge capacity top box designed to take 2 cabin carry on suitcases). They are made in Aluminium with Grey and Black powder coat, have a fitted back pad and swivel mounted armrests.

What is Independent Rear Suspension (IRS) on a trike?

Casarva IRS (independent Rear Suspension) trikes handle better and and are more comfortable to ride than those with a solid axles. The tyres stay planted in the road surface giving you maximum control if the road gets a little tricky because each side has its own suspension system which are connected by an anti-roll bar made in spring steel. This assists the shock absorbers in keeping the rear end planted, reduces rider shock and assists with steering.

The drive line irrespective of being chain, shaft or belt driven, has a differential which allows the wheels to turn independently of each other via half shafts which have been tailor made to each trike and there are options on the track width and wheelbase length to make sure that the trike is set up to be the best it can be. Tyres and wheel size are selected to works best with each trike – one size definitively does not fit all not fit all.
