A rare opportunity to buy this superb Casarva Harley Davidson Electra Ultra Glide Low Trike – based on a low mileage 2015 FLHTKL. And because we built it you can rest assured of it is quality.
The trike was built by us in 2022 with our award winning Independent Rear Suspension (IRS) and has covered just 113 miles since due to owner having a medical condition with no chance to remedy it.
The trike was fitted with a Casarva Belt Drive IRS trike conversion at the Casarva trike works. The bike is a Harley Ultra Limited in classy Burgundy metallic livery – a change from the standard black. With the mudguards painted to match the bikes in deep burgundy metallic and red with pinstripes to match the bikes. The existing Vance & Hines silencers were re-routed in stainless steel with mirror polished heat shields.
Both the rider and pillion riders are comfortable with a fully padded backrests and the larger top case to stow helmets etc.
Wheels are Wolfrace 17″ Black /Polished in keeping with the front wheel
Raked front forks were fitted to make steering easier and the trike has a reverse gearbox mounted to the offside of the engine
Suspension is via 2 Casarva Protech shocks with a Casarva Anti-roll bar in in EN43 spring steel and new disk brakes are fitted to the rear.
At the back there is a set of Casarva Mirror Polished parallel bull bars.
The trike will have 12 months MOT’s and is due to be with us at Casarva from the beginning of September so if you want to view it let us know and we will make you an appointment
What is Independent Rear Suspension (IRS) on a trike?
Casarva IRS (independent Rear Suspension) trikes handle better and and are more comfortable to ride than those with a solid axles. The tyres stay planted in the road surface giving you maximum control if the road gets a little tricky because each side has its own suspension system which are connected by an anti-roll bar made in spring steel. This assists the shock absorbers in keeping the rear end planted, reduces rider shock and assists with steering.
The drive line irrespective of being shaft, belt (like this Casarva Harley Ultra Glide Trike) or chain driven, has a differential which allows the wheels to turn independently of each other via half shafts which have been tailor made to each trike and there are options on the track width and wheelbase length to make sure that the trike is set up to be the best it can be. Tyres and wheel size are selected to works best with each trike – one size definitively does not fit all not fit all.
