Casarva Harley Davidson Softail Nostalgia FLSTN IRS trike
fitted with an engine mounted reverse gearbox. Belt driven via the Casarva differential and suspension is from the Casarva Independent Rear Suspension bolt on trike conversion with Anti-Roll Bar.
Fitted with an engine mounted reverse gearbox to give easy access to all areas.
The seats were customised and covered in grey black with burgundy piping to match the gun metal and black with twin pinstripes to match the bikes paint work the exhausts rerouted in stainless steel with mirror polished stainless heat shields where required.
A Casarva Mirror Polished Stainless Bull Bar has Maltese Cross Tail lights and Combination stop tail / indicators on the mudguards.
A demountable Casarva tow-bar with single electrics means easy use of a trailer for longer touring.
What is Independent Rear Suspension (IRS) on a trike?
Casarva IRS (independent Rear Suspension) trikes handle better and and are more comfortable to ride than those with a solid axles. The tyres stay planted in the road surface giving you maximum control if the road gets a little tricky because each side has its own suspension system which are connected by an anti-roll bar made in spring steel. This assists the shock absorbers in keeping the rear end planted, reduces rider shock and assists with steering.
The drive line irrespective of being shaft, chain or belt driven, has a differential which allows the wheels to turn independently of each other via half shafts which have been tailor made to each trike and there are options on the track width and wheelbase length to make sure that the trike is set up to be the best it can be. Tyres and wheel size are selected to works best with each trike – one size definitively does not fit all not fit all.
