Casarva Honda Goldwing GL1500 IRS trike with body

A  full GRP body was fitted over the Casarva Independent Rear Suspension conversion. We major on open classic style trikes as a rule but occasionally build a trike with a body for thos customers who are set on having both Casarva quality and a body tub. It has been fitted with GL1800 Rear Lights, BSX Black 17” Lattice Alloys with fully-mated body tub USB and power in boot. It has a detachable towbar and narrow 1300mm track.

What is Independent Rear Suspension (IRS) on a trike?

Casarva IRS (independent Rear Suspension) trikes handle better and and are more comfortable to ride than those with a solid axles. The tyres stay planted in the road surface giving you maximum control if the road gets a little tricky because each side has its own suspension system which are connected by an anti-roll bar made in spring steel. This assists the shock absorbers in keeping the rear end planted, reduces rider shock and assists with steering.

The drive line irrespective of being chain, belt or shaft (like this Casarva Goldwing trike), has a differential which allows the wheels to turn independently of each other via half shafts which have been tailor made to each trike and there are options on the track width and wheelbase length to make sure that the trike is set up to be the best it can be. Tyres and wheel size are selected to works best with each trike – one size definitively does not fit all not fit all.
