This trike was built in France by an established Trike Builder and Retailer
The retailer wanted to extend the range of trikes they could offer to include everyday bikes rather than just the mass produced types and they flexibility and recognised that by using Casarva Trike conversion kits they would be able to do just that! This is just one of the various models they have built including belt and shaft drive.
This conversion to a Honda Rebel CMX1100 DCT was built using a Casarva Chain Drive conversion kit. The trike keeps the automatic gearbox and they fabricated a cowl to cover in the back end plus made sure that the specification for the French authorities was done properly.
Casarva IRS (independent Rear Suspension) trikes handle better and and are more comfortable to ride than those with a solid axles. The tyres stay planted in the road surface giving you maximum control if the road gets a little tricky because each side has its own suspension system which are connected by an anti-roll bar made in spring steel. This assists the shock absorbers in keeping the rear end planted, reduces rider shock and assists with steering.
The drive line irrespective of being chain, belt or shaft, has a differential which allows the wheels to turn independently of each other via half shafts which have been tailor made to each trike and there are options on the track width and wheelbase length to make sure that the trike is set up to be the best it can be. Tyres and wheel size are selected to works best with each trike – one size definitively does not fit all not fit all.
