The Yamaha Fazer 600 is a stalwart of the mid range bikes from late in the 20th Century and the bike was in immaculate condition before we fitted the Casarva chain drive IRS trike conversion with Reverse Gearbox. The 4 into 1 exhaust was rerouted in stainless steel with mirror polished heat shields and up and over the rear suspension.
The trike is fitted with an electronic gear shifter operated from the left handlebar so the owner doesnt need to use his foot to change gear.
Fitted with multi spoke gloss black alloy wheels and 6″ Combination LED Stop Tail Lights and Indicators.
The mechanical reverse gearbox is fitted in line with 2 chains, one from the engine and the other from the reverse gearbox to the rear differential with a gear lever given reverse options in all gears.
The conversion is bolted to the bikes frame after being blasted, zinc primed and powder coated.
Casarva Shocks and Casarva Anti-roll bar in EN43 spring steel make sure the handling and comfort is is great. A new rad disk braking system is fitted with larger rear brake master cylinder and hydraulic / mechanical calipers and a Stainless Trigger handbrake lever.
Finished in a striking Swan Racing Yellow Red and green livery it certainly stand out from the crowd!
Casarva IRS (independent Rear Suspension) trikes handle better and and are more comfortable to ride than those with a solid axles. The tyres stay planted in the road surface giving you maximum control if the road gets a little tricky because each side has its own suspension system which are connected by an anti-roll bar made in spring steel. This assists the shock absorbers in keeping the rear end planted, reduces rider shock and assists with steering.
The drive line irrespective of being shaft, belt or chain, has a differential which allows the wheels to turn independently of each other via half shafts which have been tailor made to each trike and there are options on the track width and wheelbase length to make sure that the trike is set up to be the best it can be. Tyres and wheel size are selected to works best with each trike – one size definitively does not fit all not fit all.
