Casarva Honda DN01 Trike

The Honda DN01 has styling all it’s own. The painted fairing and sleek headlight are different to any other Honda as is the CVT automatic gearbox which makes this trike twist and go. No need to worry about clutches and gear changes and it works really well with the award winning Casarva Shaft Drive IRS trike conversion

The trike is fitted with the Casarva Elite Reverse gearbox in line with the shaft drive and rear differential. The original exhaust was changed out for 2 slash cut stainless steel Casarva silencers with a stainless reroute to exit either side underneath the bottom wishbone with mirror polished heat shields.

The custom made rack has a 600 x 300mm bed with luggage back stop and is powder coated.

The 10 spoke black alloys are covered by mudguards mounted with stacked LED stop Tail stop tail and indicators lights are chromed and mounted to each wing which is color matched to the original. 

What is Independent Rear Suspension (IRS) on a trike?

Casarva IRS (independent Rear Suspension) trikes handle better and and are more comfortable to ride than those with a solid axles. The tyres stay planted in the road surface giving you maximum control if the road gets a little tricky because each side has its own suspension system which are connected by an anti-roll bar made in spring steel. This assists the shock absorbers in keeping the rear end planted, reduces rider shock and assists with steering.

The drive line irrespective of being shaft, chain or belt driven, has a differential which allows the wheels to turn independently of each other via half shafts which have been tailor made to each trike and there are options on the track width and wheelbase length to make sure that the trike is set up to be the best it can be. Tyres and wheel size are selected to works best with each trike – one size definitively does not fit all not fit all.
