The Casarva Kawasaki Vulcan S650 trike is a very popular trike conversion and builds into a really rider friendly trike ready to ride solo or with a passenger. This Kawasaki trike is finished in a Matt Black powder coat to the frame a theme continued to the matt black on the mudguards too.
It features black 5 spoke alloys to match the look and the styling from the donor bike is continued through the new build so it is hard to tell where Casarva starts and Kawasaki finishes.
The Casarva Chain Drive reverse gearbox makes manoeuvring a doddle.
The rear lights are 6″ LED and combine the stop tail lights and indicators in one neat unit. On the front of the mudguards are mounted smoked lens white marker lights. We also fitted the Kawasaki oem spotlights to the front.
The customer requested we mount a mid step to ease getting on the trike as the bike has forward feet controls.
Fitted with new rear disk brake system at the back and with a stainless trigger parking brake the Independent Rear Suspension wishbones on this trike are of the narrow track option making the rear width tyre edge to edge around 1450mm.
Suspension is via two Casarva specification adjustable coil over damper shocks and an Anti-Roll Bar made in EN453 spring steel. The exhaust was discreetly rerouted.
Casarva IRS (independent Rear Suspension) trikes handle better and and are more comfortable to ride than those with a solid axles. The tyres stay planted in the road surface giving you maximum control if the road gets a little tricky because each side has its own suspension system which are connected by an anti-roll bar made in spring steel. This assists the shock absorbers in keeping the rear end planted, reduces rider shock and assists with steering.
The drive line irrespective of being chain, shaft or belt driven, has a differential which allows the wheels to turn independently of each other via half shafts which have been tailor made to each trike and there are options on the track width and wheelbase length to make sure that the trike is set up to be the best it can be. Tyres and wheel size are selected to works best with each trike – one size definitively does not fit all not fit all.
