Casarva Yamaha XVS950 Midnight Star IRS trike

With chain drive trike conversion and a Casarva Elite reverse gearbox.
It features re-positioned OEM hard leatherette covered hard-case panniers and their chrome guards. The trike is fitted with a rerouted stainless steel exhausts and Casarva stainless slash cut 4″ silencers.  Wheels are 225 50 17 in matt black
To aid mounting of the trike we have added an additional footplate on the nearside.

What is Independent Rear Suspension (IRS) on a trike?

Casarva IRS (independent Rear Suspension) trikes handle better and and are more comfortable to ride than those with a solid axles. The tyres stay planted in the road surface giving you maximum control if the road gets a little tricky because each side has its own suspension system which are connected by an anti-roll bar made in spring steel. This assists the shock absorbers in keeping the rear end planted, reduces rider shock and assists with steering.

The drive line irrespective of being  shaft, belt or chain, has a differential which allows the wheels to turn independently of each other via half shafts which have been tailor made to each trike and there are options on the track width and wheelbase length to make sure that the trike is set up to be the best it can be. Tyres and wheel size are selected to works best with each trike – one size definitively does not fit all not fit all.
