Casarva Works is this Harley Davidson Switchback FLD. With the thumping big Vee twin we retained the belt drive and breathed on the exhaust system. A reverse gearbox was fitted to the engine for maximum maneuverability and the panniers were re-positioned to work with the Independent Rear Suspension (IRS). A tall polished stainless stainless sissy bar and back pad was made and fitted to the quick release system and the mudguards were painted in the red metal flake to match the bike, which were mounted over the Image Billet 3 piece wheels and 40 profile tyres. At the rear there is a pair of mirror polished stainless steel bull bars with Maltese Cross LED stop tail lights mounted below the top bar.
Casarva IRS (independent Rear Suspension) trikes handle better and and are more comfortable to ride than those with a solid axles. The tyres stay planted in the road surface giving you maximum control if the road gets a little tricky because each side has its own suspension system which are connected by an anti-roll bar made in spring steel. This assists the shock absorbers in keeping the rear end planted, reduces rider shock and assists with steering.
The drive line irrespective of being shaft, chain (like this Casarva Harley Ultra Glide Trike) or belt driven, has a differential which allows the wheels to turn independently of each other via half shafts which have been tailor made to each trike and there are options on the track width and wheelbase length to make sure that the trike is set up to be the best it can be. Tyres and wheel size are selected to works best with each trike – one size definitively does not fit all not fit all.
