This Honda VTX1300C trike
This trike is fitted with a Casarva Elite reverse shaft drive gearbox and a Kliktronic gear-shifter.
As usual the frame is zinc primed and powder coated to match the bikes and the mudguards are painted to match the tank. This bike had some damage to the front mudguard and side covers which has been restored.
We have rerouted the exhausts in stainless steel with heath shield and reworked the existing silencers Silver Lattice spoke alloys and a removable tow bar.
New Kuryakyn footplates fitted for the rider.
We replaced the alarm with a new Datatool s4 Red C1 Thatcham approved alarm immobiliser
What is Independent Rear Suspension (IRS) on a trike?
Casarva IRS (independent Rear Suspension) trikes handle better and and are more comfortable to ride than those with a solid axles. The tyres stay planted in the road surface giving you maximum control if the road gets a little tricky because each side has its own suspension system which are connected by an anti-roll bar made in spring steel. This assists the shock absorbers in keeping the rear end planted, reduces rider shock and assists with steering.
The drive line irrespective of being shaft, chain or belt driven, has a differential which allows the wheels to turn independently of each other via half shafts which have been tailor made to each trike and there are options on the track width and wheelbase length to make sure that the trike is set up to be the best it can be. Tyres and wheel size are selected to works best with each trike – one size definitively does not fit all not fit all.
