Casarva Suzuki GS1000L  Trike

Nicknamed“Tulip”. this is a classic 70’s (1978) bike converted to a trike at the Casarva Works.

We have fitted 4 Tulip Stand Up exhausts (hence the name) and it has received a fantastic custom airbrushing from MD Machine.

It features a Kliktronic gear shifter, K2 twin Brake levers front and rear on the handlebars, a Casarva Chain Drive Reverse Transfer box, a Casarva stainless Old school Sissy bar and a removable tow bar.

What is Independent Rear Suspension (IRS) on a trike?

Casarva IRS (independent Rear Suspension) trikes handle better and and are more comfortable to ride than those with a solid axles. The tyres stay planted in the road surface giving you maximum control if the road gets a little tricky because each side has its own suspension system which are connected by an anti-roll bar made in spring steel. This assists the shock absorbers in keeping the rear end planted, reduces rider shock and assists with steering.

The drive line irrespective of being chain, shaft or belt driven, has a differential which allows the wheels to turn independently of each other via half shafts which have been tailor made to each trike and there are options on the track width and wheelbase length to make sure that the trike is set up to be the best it can be. Tyres and wheel size are selected to works best with each trike – one size definitively does not fit all not fit all.
