Casarva Triumph Rocket 111 Trike
Casarva Triumph Rocket 111 2.3 litre shaft drive trike with reverse and raked front forks and a reroute of the OEM silencers in stainless steel with mirror polished stainless heatshield where required.
The Casarva Rocket is a favourite and this looks classy in its custom Black and Red paint livery. As the bike has a 2.3 litre 3 cylinder engine the Rocket 111 is powerful trike weighing in at 500kg – solid too! So we change the trike framework accordingly to deal with that.
The proprietary Casarva Rocket 111 mudguards were painted to match the black and red fogged custom paint and are fitted with the Rockets teardrop stop tail lights, indicators and white front markers.
The shaft drive is coupled to a Casarva Reverse Gearbox which is used with the bike’s gearbox so you have as many reverse gears as forward and means you don\’t have to worry about parking, kerbs or garaging.
Also fitted are custom made raked front yokes change the angle of the forks. This makes the steering much lighter but does not sacrifice handling, which is planted because of the Casarva Independent Rear Suspension system (IRS).
As the owner wanted to have a taller screen that did not look like shower door we fitted a Puig adjustable smoked touring screen to keep the wind off
We designed and fitted the 600 x 300 mm tube rack which is prepared to take a GIVI top case mounting plate along with a set of triumph Leather throw-over panniers (not shown)
What is Independent Rear Suspension (IRS) on a trike?
Our trikes handle better and and are more comfortable to ride than those with a solid axles. The tyres stay on the road surface giving you maximum control if the road gets a little tricky because each side has its own suspension system which are connected by an anti-roll bar made in spring steel. This assists the shock absorbers in keeping the rear end planted, reduces rider shock and assists with steering.
The drive line irrespective of being chain, belt or shaft, has a differential which allows the wheels to turn independently of each other via half shafts which have been tailor made to each trike and there are options on the track width and wheelbase length to make sure that the trike is set up to be the best it can be. Tyres and wheel size are selected to works best with each trike – one size definitively does not fit all.
