Casarva Yamaha VMAX 12 Full Power IRS Trike
We bolted on our Brute shaft drive trike conversion cradle and as the customer wanted his pride and joy back on the road we took off a lot of what can be politely referred to as scrap metal that had been fitted previosuly.
We fitted with an auxiliary tank replacing the dummy, a Quaife reverse gearbox and up-swept exhausts. The carbs were sonically cleaned and refurbished to have her purring again, plus redressing the engine to give the VMAX Full Power back her purpose – to go like hell!
Casarva IRS (independent Rear Suspension) trikes handle better and and are more comfortable to ride than those with a solid axles. The tyres stay planted in the road surface giving you maximum control if the road gets a little tricky because each side has its own suspension system which are connected by an anti-roll bar made in spring steel. This assists the shock absorbers in keeping the rear end planted, reduces rider shock and assists with steering.
The drive line irrespective of being chain, belt or shaft, has a differential which allows the wheels to turn independently of each other via half shafts which have been tailor made to each trike and there are options on the track width and wheelbase length to make sure that the trike is set up to be the best it can be. Tyres and wheel size are selected to works best with each trike – one size definitively does not fit all not fit all.
