The Casarva BMW R1200 GS A IRS trike shaft drive conversion is not the run-of-the-mill trike conversion. The design of the bike frame frame needs to be taken into consideration. So we replicated the design of the bikes frame a multi-tubes radial support design and incorporated into the trikes frame to present a continuous and integrated look. Finally powder coating in the same silver as the bike’s frame.
The exhaust was replaced and rerouted so although it looks like it is in the stock position; it is not, but still sits behind the aluminium Touratech aluminium panniers – out of the way
The reverse gearbox is fitting in line with the prop-shaft and the differential and is a Quaife unit.
The mudguards were painted to match the bike’s liver in the famous BMW yellow with 2 shades of silver metallic.
Wheels are silver crosswire alloys to follow on from the front spoked wheel.

What is Independent Rear Suspension (IRS) on a trike?
Casarva IRS (independent Rear Suspension) trikes handle better and are more comfortable to ride than those with a solid axles. Tyres stay planted in the road surface giving you maximum control if the road gets a little tricky. How? Because each side has its own suspension system which are connected by an anti-roll bar (ARB) made in spring steel. The ARB assists the shock absorbers in keeping the rear end planted, reduces rider shock.
The drive line – chain, belt or shaft – has a differential which allows the wheels to turn independently of each. Half shafts are tailor made to each trike. There’s track width options too. With all these options and more each trike is custom built to meet the owners needs.
