The Triumph Legend 900 has the Triumph 900 3 Cylinder engine and classic styling and the trike has a Casarva chain drive IRS trike conversion with Reverse Gearbox and a Kliktronic Electronic Gear shifter so the rider does not have to use their left foot with shifter buttons mounted under the left handlebar grip.
The exhausts are rerouted to exit either side underneath the bottom wishbones and are made in stainless steel with mirror polished stainless heat shields and 4″ Casarva Stainless Slash cuts are fitted giving a nice exhaust note.
Fitted with “Lattice” alloy wheels the mudguards a re painted in a Candy Red to match the rest of the trike and fitted with LED Stop Tail Lights and Indicators. The Hepco & Becker chrome rack takes an easily demountable top case with back pad for the pillion.
The mechanical reverse gearbox is fitted in line with 2 chains, one from the engine and the other from the reverse gearbox to the rear differential with a gear lever given reverse options in all gears.
The conversion is bolted to the bikes frame after being blasted, zinc primed and powder coated.
Casarva Protech Shocks and Casarva Anti-roll bar in EN43 spring steel make sure the handling and comfort is is great. A new rear disk braking system is fitted with larger rear brake master cylinder and hydraulic / mechanical calipers and a Stainless Trigger handbrake lever.
Casarva IRS (independent Rear Suspension) trikes handle better and and are more comfortable to ride than those with a solid axles. The tyres stay planted in the road surface giving you maximum control if the road gets a little tricky because each side has its own suspension system which are connected by an anti-roll bar made in spring steel. This assists the shock absorbers in keeping the rear end planted, reduces rider shock and assists with steering.
The drive line irrespective of being shaft, belt or chain, has a differential which allows the wheels to turn independently of each other via half shafts which have been tailor made to each trike and there are options on the track width and wheelbase length to make sure that the trike is set up to be the best it can be. Tyres and wheel size are selected to works best with each trike – one size definitively does not fit all not fit all.
