Casarva Triumph Rocket 111 Trike
Casarva Triumph Rocket 111 2.3 litre shaft drive trike with reverse and raked front forks and new stainless Casarva exhausts.
The Casarva Rocket is a favourite and this looks sharp in metallic grey. We all know the Rocket 111 is a powerful beast and we beef up some areas of the conversion to deal with that.
The shaft drive is coupled to a Casarva Reverse Gearbox which is used with the bike’s gearbox so you have as many reverse gears as forward and means you don’t have to worry about parking, kerbs or garaging.
And we custom made raked front yokes change the angle of the forks. This makes the steering much lighter but does not sacrifice handling, which is planted because of the Casarva Independent Rear Suspension system (IRS).
The new stainless steel exhaust exits either side underneath the bottom wishbones. we fitted a cavernous Shad 58 EX (for expandable) top case. This is mounted to a Casarva 600 x 300 flat bed rack made in 1″ tube, which you could use to sit on it your legs were long enough!
What is Independent Rear Suspension (IRS) on a trike?
Our trikes handle better and and are more comfortable to ride than those with a solid axles. The tyres stay on the road surface giving you maximum control if the road gets a little tricky because each side has its own suspension system which are connected by an anti-roll bar made in spring steel. This assists the shock absorbers in keeping the rear end planted, reduces rider shock and assists with steering.
The drive line irrespective of being chain, belt or shaft, has a differential which allows the wheels to turn independently of each other via half shafts which have been tailor made to each trike and there are options on the track width and wheelbase length to make sure that the trike is set up to be the best it can be. Tyres and wheel size are selected to works best with each trike – one size definitively does not fit all.
